Restoring the Constitution, i.e., the Bible

We here at Andromeda are very concerned about two bills, S.B. 520 and H.R. 1070, each with the title, "Constitution Restoration Act of 2005." Our concern, of course, is that they have been languishing in committee.

These bills provide that no Federal court will have jurisdiction over any matter concerning the acknowledgment by the government, or its officials in their official capacity, of "God as the sovereign source of law, liberty or government."

Once this law restores the Constitution, it will be possible for a judge or governmental official to declare that, since God is the source of law, no law shall be construed in a manner contrary to His will or the Biblical law which literally describes His will. And then the judge can certainly base his rulings, and the government official can base his policies, directly on the ultimate source of the law, liberty and government, i.e., the Bible.

This will be particularly good news for women of virtue, as the women of not-so-much virtue will be stoned on their fathers' doorsteps. Deuteronomy 22:20-21.

And for those who think there is "wiggle room" in the Lord's commandments:
And dare ye say the Iraq War was illegal, let ye hear the word of the Lord:
"Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

"And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

"Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God."
Deuteronomy 12:2-4.

Perhaps one more election and the Congress will be righteous enough to get those bills out of committee at last.

"Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people." Deuteronomy 4:6.
